Keeping Faith While Walking Through the Unknowns
This one is deeply personal for me, and I have hesitated to even write it. I hesitate because Scripture is full of stories of people walking through the unknowns. You could even say the entire book is basically about it. So who am I to write a post about walking through unknowns? I think sometimes we hesitate to share our stories because we believe that people don’t care. You know why? Because we literally say it! Things like “You’re not alone” or “You’re not the only one” or even “People don’t pay attention to you as much as you think they do” to each other and you know what? While that may genuinely be an attempt at empathy, it more often than not, isn’t experienced that way by someone who is struggling or in pain. In the therapy world, they could call that minimizing or being dismissive. The follow-through (what is communicated next) is usually the message that sticks with them.
